Restaurant

Walking into Husk begins the experience of a foodie night. HUSK is painted on the brick wall built in turn of the century, wooden floors creak as you walk, stainless and copper shine from the open kitchen with chefs moving quickly to prepare the meals. When seated at round tables Servers greet the diners while wearing aprons with leather tabs. They describe the menu in detail, suggest wines to pair, listing local farmers who cultivate the ingredients of the dish. And when the drink and food is served, diners are tickled with mix of flavor, freshness of catfish, and crisp blanching of the vegetables. Simply elegant with the delicious crafted food.

Development

Greenville County Square has stepped up ten levels in accepting the contemporary design of its new building. Glass, steel, windows on every turn with angled roofing. What an accessory for the people working in the building, bringing outside into the lobby and connecting with public residents in the open space. Cudos to design and County "powers that be" approving a contemporary space. Below is proposed design presented by RocaPoint Partners out of Atlanta.

Buy or Rent

In 1856, Walt Whitman wrote "A man is not a whole and complete man unless he owns a house and the ground it stands on." Lots of press releasing articles in 2017 about whether to buy or rent. If interested, check out "Endangered Species" by USA Today, "All our Best Advice on Deciding to Rent or Buy a Home" by New York Times in the Money section, and article in CNN Money, "Should You Rent or Buy a Home". The great thing today... lots of options to rent if for temporary or permanent and best of all is interest rates remain low so good time to buy.
